A hotel and restaurant overlook the field from behind the left field fence. The view from down the third base line. Just like in the LA area, a freeway runs right behind the outfield wall. The grandstand at Tempe Diablo Stadium. The stadium structure extends further down the first base line than the third to house an enclosed party deck. Though the seating bowl is completely open, a sun shade runs the length of the infield concourse, providing some coverage from the desert sun. Plaques along the concourse celebrate the history of Tempe Diablo Stadium and Angels Spring Training. The concourse opens up in the left field corner, housing a carnival like food court and an up close view of the butte behind the field. The Angels bullpen sits behind the right field wall, by the batting cages, and a cutout in the wall allows the pitchers to watch the game.
